DNV Germany provides several services for product certification and verification in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Team Augsburg consists of 12 employees and is responsible for all customers in Southern Germany (Hesse, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria), Austria and Switzerland. We visit our customers and observe testing and inspection of materials and products intended for installation on ships and offshore installations, but also for other industrial applications.

For our Team Augsburg we are looking for a Surveyor who should be located in the Passau / East Bavaria area and works from home. After successful on-the-job training and (if applicable) qualification, the work areas will be determined as follows:

The main tasks are:

• Certification and verification of materials and components for marine and offshore applications under class and non-class related systems and processes
• Assessment and auditing of production capabilities at manufactures acc. to different maritime schemes
• Managing our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization and technical responsibility for individual selected customers, as well as sales supporting activities together with the DNV line management
• Project-oriented work – cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects
• Marketing work for identifying additional verification opportunities

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in material, welding, mechanical or electrical engineering, marine / naval engineering or similar
• Good command of English required
• Good command of German required
• Valid driving license for cars (you need to drive 30,000 to 45,000 km per year)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work flexibly, independently, result-oriented, self-organized and effective
• Customer-oriented approach
• Use of MS Office applications required as well as use of DNV internal software applications
• Prepared for active support of our processes
• Self-driven in customer follow-up and improvement of internal processes
